A small group day out of the estate in a minibus, starting with the market at Gordes while it is still cool, then the road down to the abbey of Senanque and its lavender rows, and a long lunch in a village square. The afternoon is Roussillon and the ochre cliffs, and the distillery at the estate for the last stop.
Lavender flowers from late June to mid July; outside those weeks the fields are green and the market is the point.
