The boardwalk is two blocks from the door and quietest before eight. Here is the loop our front desk recommends: north to the pier, back along the sand, and a stop for cafecito on the way home.
North to the pier
Turn left out of the resort and the boardwalk runs unbroken for three kilometres. The first kilometre is shaded by sea grape; after that the dunes open up and the pier comes into view.
Back along the sand
The tide is out in the morning, so the walk back on hard sand is easy. Our beach hut opens at 8:00 and the loungers are yours for the day.
Cafecito
Ask at the front desk for the window that serves the best Cuban coffee within five minutes of the resort. Breakfast on the terrace runs until 11:00.
